The 'new manager' glow only lasted 3 weeks at my shop

We got this guy from corporate back in March, first week he's walking around asking everyone how they're doing, actually listening, I thought finally someone decent. By week 3 he'd already moved my toolbox to the cold bay without asking and started timing our bathroom breaks. Has anyone else seen a boss do a total 180 like that, or is it just my luck?

You ever see a boss turn into a whole different person once they get comfortable? My buddy had a manager who was all high-fives and free coffee for a month, then started taking his chair away whenever he left his desk for more than five minutes.
