The 3-ring binder that finally killed my boss's 'memory' problem

My manager kept blaming us for missing tasks he never assigned, so I started printing every instruction email and taping it into a binder with dates and times. After 2 weeks of him flipping through it in meetings, he stopped contradicting himself in front of the regional VP. Anyone else keep a paper trail that made their boss look bad on purpose?

Oh man, that binder trick is genius... I did something similar once but with a shared calendar instead, and my boss got so mad he started scheduling fake meetings just to mess with me. Honestly though, nothing beats watching them realize they can't gaslight you when the proof is right there on paper. It’s a slow burn but totally worth it when the VP starts side-eyeing them instead of you.
