That $400 'leadership seminar' my boss forced us to attend was a total scam

Spent a whole Friday in a hotel ballroom in Des Moines listening to a guy talk about synergy while our actual deadlines piled up, then my manager used it as proof we weren't 'committing' when we pushed back. Anyone else get sent to these pricey workshops that just make the office worse?
