PSA: Our office morale went from a 2 to an 8 in three months after the old manager left.

The new one just listens to feedback and doesn't schedule surprise weekend meetings anymore. Anyone else's workplace get better after a specific person quit?

GEEZ, this really makes you think about the ripple effect. One person with bad habits can literally TRASH the whole group's vibe. It's like that one guy who always brings a cold lunch that smells awful to the break room and everyone has to eat at their desks. But with a really toxic person, it's way worse - they can make people actually dread coming in. The craziest part is when they leave and suddenly everyone is way more productive and happy without even realizing how bad it was. Almost like they were a leaky pipe you got used to smelling.

Yeah, the "surprise weekend meetings" thing hits home. My friend's whole team got way less stressed after their lead, who loved last-minute "urgent" tasks, moved to a different company.
