My boss in Phoenix used to make us track our bathroom breaks on a spreadsheet
He said it was for 'productivity analysis' but it just felt creepy and wrong. After six months of this, I finally pushed back and said it was invasive. Now I just log my main tasks for the day and ignore the weird micromanaging. Has anyone else had a manager try to monitor something this personal?

Tracking basic time use isn't that weird if you're billing clients by the hour, just saying.

My old firm tracked bathroom breaks down to the minute. That level of detail creates a culture of distrust, not just accurate billing. It makes the job feel like a prison yard.
