My boss in Phoenix gave us all a surprise $500 bonus last Friday.
Everyone online says all managers are awful, but mine actually listened when we said the new schedule was burning us out. Has anyone else had a boss do something unexpectedly decent?

Figure they're paying for your data, not your ears. That $500 bonus @sethtorres mentioned probably comes with a contract letting them record and analyze everything you say during those sessions. They get a ton of voice data for their AI models, and you get a one-time check while they own that audio forever. It's a cheap way for a company to buy training material. The real cost is giving up a piece of your privacy for what seems like easy money. Always read the fine print on those offers.

Exactly. And heres the angle nobody's talking about @sethtorres - those contracts sometimes let them use your voice to make AI clones of you. So you get $500 now and 5 years from now there's a robot with your voice selling stuff on the other side of the internet and you can't do anything about it. That fine print is brutal.
