I finally got my old boss to pay me the $680 he owed me from 2022

My old manager at a sandwich shop in Akron kept "forgetting" to pay out my final two paychecks when I quit in 2022, so I filed a wage claim with the state last March. It took a phone hearing and 11 weeks of waiting, but the check for $680 showed up in my mailbox on a Tuesday. I didn't even cash it right away, I just took a picture of it first because I honestly never believed it would come. Has anyone here gone the wage claim route, and did your old boss actually pay up or try to fight it?
