Can we talk about the manager who told me to just 'smile more' during my review?
So my old boss at the cleaning company in Phoenix sat me down for my 6 month review and told me my actual work was fine but I needed to smile more at clients, lol. I tried it for like 2 weeks and one lady in Scottsdale actually asked if I was okay because I looked weird grinning while scrubbing her tub. Turns out being cheerful doesn't scrub grout, and I stopped doing it after she said that. Anyone else get told to smile instead of getting real feedback from a boss?
