Can we talk about my supervisor assigning me a project on a dead laptop the day I got back from bereavement leave?
I came back from my dad's funeral in Cleveland and my boss handed me a laptop that had been sitting in a closet for 2 years and told me to have the report done by Friday. The thing wouldn't even boot, and when I told him he said quote "figure it out, that's why we pay you" so I ended up doing the whole thing on my personal Chromebook at home. Has anyone else had a manager pull something like this, and did HR actually do anything when you reported it?
