Can we talk about bosses who think 'team building' means mandatory unpaid overtime?
My manager in Phoenix just announced a 'fun weekend project' that requires 12 hours of our Saturday, with pizza as payment. Has anyone else's boss tried to disguise exploitation as a bonding exercise?

Honestly, sometimes you gotta look at the bigger picture. That free pizza and time together could build real trust that helps the team work better on Monday. A lot of managers are just trying to create a family feeling, and giving up a little personal time shows you're committed. It's not always about the money, it's about showing you care about the company's success.

Exactly, our team dinners always make the next week smoother.

Found that being upfront about needing the time back helped a lot
