Tried meal prepping on Sunday vs cooking fresh every night for a week

I always thought Sunday prepping would save time, but after 3 days I got sick of the same chicken and rice. Cooking fresh each night only added 15 minutes and I actually finished all my meals. Has anyone had better luck with a hybrid approach?

Only 15 minutes extra? Ngl that shocks me. By the time I chop an onion and pull stuff out of the fridge I feel like I've already wasted half an hour. Monday meal prepping is a nightmare for me because by Wednesday the broccoli gets all slimy and the chicken turns into rubber. For me a hybrid thing works way better - I prep the veggies and protein on Sunday but leave the sauces and grains for the night of. That way my Tuesday stir fry doesn't taste like old leftovers but I'm still saving like 10 minutes.

@fiona_johnson82 nailed it with that hybrid method. Prepping everything on Sunday is basically signing up for Groundhog Day with your fridge. Leave the rice and sauce fresh, you still save time but don't have to choke down sad Wednesday chicken.
