Shoutout to the $3 kitchen timer that fixed my gym habit after 8 months of failing
I kept skipping workouts because I'd get on the treadmill and have no idea how long I'd been on it, so I'd either quit at 6 minutes or stay till I got bored. Bought a cheap wind up timer at a hardware store in Boise and now I set it for 25 minutes and don't look at my phone at all. Been doing it 5 days a week for 7 weeks straight, which is way past any streak I've had before. The weird part is I don't even feel like I'm pushing, I just don't have the option to check the clock. Anyone else use a dumb tool like that to get past a habit you kept failing at?
