My patient's gum health went from 'red and puffy' to 'pink and tight' in 90 days
I have a regular patient, Mr. Henderson, who always had bleeding gums and deep pockets, like 5mm in some spots. For years we just did the standard cleanings. Then three months ago, he finally started using a water flosser every single night, not just the string floss he hated. I saw him today and the difference was crazy, all his pockets are down to 2-3mm and there's zero bleeding. Has anyone else seen a patient turn things around that fast with just one new habit?

That's amazing about Mr. Henderson. I read a study a while back that said water flossers can be way better at getting under the gumline than string for some people. It makes total sense that switching to a tool he'd actually use every night made that big a change. Consistency with the right tool is everything. Really cool to see it work so fast.

Twelve down to two in three months is pretty wild. What gets me is how much better the gums actually feel too, not just the numbers on a chart. I had a similar thing happen with my own gums after switching tools. It took about two months for me to notice the bleeding stopped when I brushed. The whole routine just feels less like a chore now that I'm not dreading the sting. Glad it worked out that fast for him.

My dentist told me my gums bled at 12 out of 18 spots at my last cleaning. I started using a water flosser every single night for three months, and at my next checkup, that number dropped to just 2 spots. The difference in how my gums feel is crazy.
