My buddy the mechanic swore by PB Blaster over Kroil for rusted bolts

After fighting a seized tie rod end on my driveway for two hours with Kroil and a torch, I tried his PB Blaster trick and had it loose in under 20 minutes - has anyone else found a specific brand that just works better for certain jobs?

Well now that's interesting, I always figured Kroil was superior but @jessica_dixon's point about PB Blaster's solvents makes me reconsider.

You ever see those Project Farm videos where he tests penetrating oils? He did a whole thing on PB Blaster vs Kroil vs Liquid Wrench and PB actually did pretty good against rusted bolts. I remember him saying Kroil has way better capillary action meaning it seeps into tiny gaps better, but PB Blaster has more solvents to break down the actual rust. That tie rod thing makes total sense because suspension parts have that crusty deep rust that needs more chemical attack than just creep.
