Took a data entry job at an insurance office in Des Moines last month and found out the company still tracks claims on DOS software from 1993. I looked up the system because it kept freezing and that little fact, plus the $40,000 they spend supporting it, made my whole week feel like a time warp. Anyone else ever stumble onto a stat about your workplace that made the job feel even more pointless, or is it just me?
