That morning the office coffee machine flooded the break room on a Monday

I was standing there half asleep at 7am in the break room of our accounting firm in Akron when the hot water tank just burst, sending a stream across the tile floor and under the fridge, and I had to mop it up with a bunch of paper towels because the building manager didn't show up till 9am - has anyone else had a weird appliance fail at the worst possible time?

7am and no building manager until 9? That's rough. I can't believe they made you stand there with paper towels cleaning up a busted water tank. That's a biohazard and a half. Shouldn't they have a designated person on call for things like that? A flooded break room is not your job as an accountant. Honestly, I'd be pretty ticked off if I had to mop up that mess before my first cup of coffee.
