Spent 3 hours counting paperclips for a client audit, then realized the boss just wanted a yes or no
So my manager hands me two stacks of receipts from a client in Bakersfield and asks if I want to log them by hand in Excel or scan them into the software one at a time. I picked Excel because it felt faster, and 3 hours later I had 412 entries and a headache. Turns out she only needed to know if the total was over $5,000, which I could have eyeballed in 10 minutes. Has anyone else done a whole project that could've been a one word answer?
