Hit 10,000 envelopes stuffed yesterday and nobody cared

I work in a mailroom and I've been keeping a quiet tally of how many envelopes I stuff per shift for the last 3 years. Last Tuesday I hit 10,000 total and I realized nobody in my whole building would even notice or care if I told them. Has anyone else hit some weird personal milestone at work that felt big to you but totally invisible to everyone else?

Did a buddy of yours ever tell you about the time he rebuilt a whole carburetor in his garage from scratch? Took him like six weekends and he was so proud. Nobody in his house even glanced at it when he showed them.

I get what you're saying @williamschmidt, but I Actually think showing that kind of work is more about the PERSONAL victory than needing applause. Sometimes the pride is in the doing, not the showing.
