Spent $80 on a bone folder from a museum shop and it's the only tool I've ever regretted buying.

The edge is too sharp for delicate paper and the weight feels wrong, so has anyone found a good use for a tool that's basically a fancy paperweight?

What museum was dumb enough to sell an $80 bone folder?

Oh man, that's a bummer! I'd say try using it as a scoring tool for heavier cardstock or even thin leather, the sharp edge might actually help there if you're gentle. I've also seen people use them to sharpen the edges of a bone folder that's too dull, so maybe you could sand it down a bit to round out the edge if you're feeling handy. Or honestly, just keep it on your desk for the fun of bonking it against things when you're frustrated, that's what I do with my useless museum souvenirs.

My $60 letterpress museum ruler is just as useless.
