Shoutout to that weird glue from the craft store in Tacoma

Tried it for a spine repair, and it dried way too fast and left a weird film. Anyone know a better flexible adhesive for thin paper?

That weird film you mentioned is actually a feature, not a bug. It seals the fibers and adds a protective layer against moisture. For thin paper, a fast dry time is exactly what you want to prevent warping.

Reminds me of a printer tech who swore by hairspray as a fixative for cheap paper. Worked surprisingly well.

Totally agree about that seal! Used a light coat of clear matte spray on some sketchbook pages once and it stopped all the bleed-through. Made a huge difference.
