Rant: I glued my headbands for a decade before a binder in Portland convinced me to sew them.
I switched last year after a project came apart, and now I won't go back. Anyone else make a big change to their core method after seeing a better way?

Glue was definitely a trap... I learned that one the hard way too. Had a headband split right at the start of a wedding party, spent the whole night holding it together with bobby pins and desperation. Switched to a simple running stitch with upholstery thread after that disaster. Now my stuff actually survives a dance floor instead of leaving me looking like a craft store casualty.

Honestly, glue is such a trap. I used fabric glue for everything until a seam gave out in the middle of a con. Switched to a basic backstitch with heavy duty thread, and my stuff actually holds up to wear now. What kind of thread did you end up using?
