Just finished my 50th full leather binding and the number made me think
I hit 50 full leather bindings this week, which felt like a big deal because I only started offering them two years ago. On one side, it shows real skill growth, but on the other, I worry about getting stuck in a style rut. Has anyone else felt this way after hitting a personal milestone in their work?

Congrats on 50, that's huge. Just a small thing, but you said you "only" started two years ago. That's actually pretty fast progress, not slow at all.

My buddy took five years, so @grant_wilson72 is right.

Yeah, that tracks honestly! A buddy of mine took almost six years because he kept getting derailed by life stuff like moving and job changes. The thing is, the timeline really depends on how consistent you can be with studying and getting those required hours signed off. Some people can knock it out in three years if they treat it like a full time gig, but others gotta balance family or other work. The key is just keeping at it week to week instead of burning out early.
