Had to pick between PVA and paste for a rebinding job last night

I was working on a 1954 atlas that had a broken spine and needed a full rebind. I had to decide between using PVA glue or wheat paste for the new endpapers. I went with PVA because the book is heavy and I figured it would hold better, but now the edges are curling up a tiny bit. Did anyone else run into warping with PVA on older, thicker paper?

Honestly, is a tiny bit of curling on the edges really that big of a deal with a 1954 atlas? Those old books weren't exactly perfect when they came out. Seems like the PVA will hold up better in the long run than worrying about a little warp.

@black.jordan is right that a little curling isn't the end of the world with an old atlas. But if the warp keeps getting worse over time, the pages might start to not sit flat in the binding. Better to fix it now than have to redo the whole job later.
