Am I the only one who sees folks using way too much paste on their cloth?

I keep noticing people's book spines get stiff and crack because they soak the backing cloth. You really just need a thin, even coat to make it stick without gumming up the hinge. Has anyone else found a good trick to keep it light?

Is it a paste or are they trying to make papier-mâché? I mean, a little goes a long way, idk why it's so hard.

Honestly @shah.zara, sometimes you NEED that much to get full coverage. The texture is thin so it spreads out, and a thin layer just doesn't do the job. It's not about being hard, it's about the product working right.
