Our book club picked a 700 page novel and half the group quit by page 90
So back in March my Tuesday night group in Sacramento voted 6 to 4 for a giant doorstop of a book, and I was one of the four who said no way. By our next meetup only three people had actually finished it, and one of them admitted she just read the Wikipedia summary and faked her way through the talk about the ending. Now we have a rule that nobody picks anything over 350 pages, but two members are still mad about it and keep bringing it up. How do you all handle it when half the club didn't even read the book?
