Our book club fought for 45 minutes over a character who only shows up in chapter 2
Last month in Madison we picked a 600 page family saga nobody finished, and the whole meeting turned into a fight about whether the grandma was a ghost or just sick. Half the group swore she died on page 30 and the other half pulled up quotes proving she was alive at the funeral, and our host kept yelling "just read the epilogue people." So my question is, does anyone else end up debating a minor character more than the actual ending?
