Spent 3 days trying to seat a gasket on a 1978 boiler that should've taken an hour. The old flange was warped just enough to be a nightmare.

Oh man, that sounds about right. Those old parts always have one secret flaw that eats your whole weekend. Hope you finally got it to behave.

I mean, I get what you're saying @angela40, but sometimes that secret flaw is the fun part for me. Idk, maybe it's just me but I like the puzzle.

Exactly! That puzzle is the whole point. You learn more fixing one weird flaw than from ten perfect builds. Makes it feel like yours when you finally crack it.
