Showerthought: Remember when we used to hand-draft everything on the shop floor?
Honestly, I was welding a new section of a boiler drum in a Pittsburgh plant about ten years ago, and my old paper template for a manway flange got soaked with cutting oil and tore. Tbh, I had to freehand the cut lines with soapstone and a lot of guesswork, which added like three hours to the job. Ngl, does anyone still keep a roll of that old brown drafting paper around, or is it all CAD prints now?

Yeah, I used to think that too (honestly), but going through it myself totally changed my mind.

Just small steps every day and not beating myself up for slip-ups worked for me.
