My old foreman asked why I torque in three passes, and I couldn't give him a real answer
He said he'd run 2 inch studs hand tight plus a quarter turn for 20 years and never lost a joint, and honestly I stood there with nothing. I looked it up after and found the star pattern matters more than hitting the final number on the first pass. Anyone got a chart or rule of thumb they actually trust for bigger flanges?
