Tried 3D-printed organizer inserts vs wooden ones for my game shelf and the difference was night and day

The 3D-printed ones fit so tight they actually flexed the box lid, while the wooden ones from Etsy had maybe 2mm of wiggle room but the games don't fight me when I close them - anyone else run into fit issues with those custom inserts?

Man that's the whole thing with 3D printed stuff right there, they make it so tight you'd think the game box was gonna pop open like a can of biscuits. Wooden ones at least give you some breathing room without that wrestling match every time you want to grab a game. I bet the guy who designed the 3D ones just measured once and called it good, never actually tried closing the lid. Sounds like a lose-lose either way you go, either the pieces rattle around or your game box looks like it's about to burst.

I totally get where you're coming from with the tight fit issues, but honestly some of those 3D printed inserts actually have a little bit of give if you sand down the edges a tiny bit. The wooden ones I've tried split on me before, which never happened with the printed ones. I'd rather fight with the lid once than have a piece split in half from rattling around.
