Question about using a dice tray to stop my cat from ruining game night
My cat kept jumping on the table during Catan and batting our dice onto the floor every single roll. After about 3 weeks of lost pieces under the couch, I grabbed a cheap wooden dice tray from a local shop in Austin for $12. Now we roll everything inside it and the cat just stares at us, defeated. It also keeps the dice from knocking over our little roads and settlements. Anyone else found a simple fix that saved their game nights like this?
My buddy had the same problem but with a ferret, which is way worse because those things can climb anything. The ferret figured out it could sit on the edge of the tray and wait for a die to bounce out, then grab it and run under the fridge. He ended up cutting a cardboard lid with a hole in the middle so they could roll in but the ferret couldn't reach in. Took him a whole weekend to get the hole size right.
