Pro tip: the guy running my local game store keeps mispronouncing "Carcassonne" and it drives me nuts every Friday night
He says "Car-ca-sawn" instead of "Car-ca-sonn" with the soft ending, like 6 times in a row while teaching new players, and I'm pretty sure that's why half the group still can't remember the tile rules.

Oh man that would drive me up a wall. It's like hearing someone say "ex-presso" every single time. You'd think after saying it 50 times a night he'd figure it out. Honestly though if half the group can't learn the tile rules maybe the mispronunciation is the least of your worries. At this point I'd just start calling it "Carcass-own" to his face and see if he notices. Probably time to stage an intervention with a phonetic spelling taped to his counter. You're a saint for lasting this long without snapping.

Haha yeah for sure... I had this buddy once who kept calling the game "Ticket to Ride" as "Ticket to Rudy" and we just let him go on for like six months before someone finally corrected him. He was so embarrassed but honestly it was hilarious. @patricia_singh81 you're probably right though, if they can't remember the rules the name's the least of it.
