My friend Sarah said the same thing after we played Wingspan. The fun for us IS figuring out complex systems. It's like a puzzle that you solve together. Getting a rule wrong can break the whole game, so we care about it. That deep focus is the point, not a side thing. Calling it not fun just misses what we enjoy about it.
