Found a 1983 copy of Cosmic Encounter in a thrift store for $4, it came with all 9 alien races

Honestly, I was just browsing at a Goodwill in Portland last Saturday and spotted the old Milton Bradley box. I recognized the cover art from when my dad used to talk about playing it in college. Turns out the copy is complete, even the original sand timer still works. I checked online and saw the 1983 edition sells for around $80 on eBay. Has anyone else ever stumbled on a vintage board game that ended up being worth way more than the sticker price?
