Can we talk about how long it takes to paint a full miniatures set?
I picked up a used copy of Zombicide last month and decided to paint all the survivors. Figured it would be a weekend project, maybe 8 hours total. Here I am 6 weeks later with 4 figures done and 8 still sitting there half-finished. I just didn't account for the drying time between layers and all the tiny detail work. Has anyone else been surprised by how slow this hobby actually is?

You ever actually spray those contrast paints through an airbrush though?

a weekend project, maybe 8 hours total" - haha, that's adorable. honestly i think you're doing it wrong if it takes that long. i bang out a 10 model squad in a single afternoon, no problem. just use contrast paints and a wet palette, you don't need to spend forever on each one. slap some base coats on, quick wash, drybrush the highlights, done. they look fine on the table. maybe you're overthinking the tiny details nobody sees from 3 feet away.
