Showerthought: your quench tank is lying to you if you never check the temp

Guys keep dunking 1084 in whatever's in the bucket and wondering why their hamons look like static on a TV, when a $20 thermometer would fix it in an afternoon. I run 130 to 140F with fast oil now and my edges quit cracking in Denver's dry air, simple as that. What temp are you all actually running, or are we all just guessing by feel still?
