My forge ran perfect all week, then I melted a set of tongs at 2am on Friday
I had 5 straight days of clean work going, nice welds on a set of rail hooks and nothing warped on me, felt like I finally had my heat dialed in. Then Friday night around 2am I got greedy and left a pair of tongs in the fire while I stepped away to grab water, came back to them sparkling and half gone. How do you all stop yourself from pushing one more heat when you're already beat?
