Dropped $140 on a cheap post vise off Marketplace and it cracked at the screw box on the third heat
The seller in Springfield met me in a parking lot and swore it was a real Peter Wright. It wasn't, and the weld bead hiding the crack let go while I was drawing out a 3/4 inch bar for a pair of tongs. Now I'm out the money and the jaw is sitting in my scrap pile. Has anyone here had luck welding a screw box back together, or is this thing just a paperweight now?
