Chopped my coal forge for a propane one at the Rockford show and I won't go back
Everyone in my circle kept saying a solid fuel forge gives you a cleaner heat and better control, so I hung onto my old rivet forge for years. Last spring at the show in Rockford I picked up a two burner propane setup for $180 and my fire management problems just disappeared. No more clinker, no more babysitting the draft, and I can hold a welding heat for as long as I need it. Curious if anyone here runs propane and still misses the coal, or if it's just me.
