Blew out the side of my forge on a 10-pound billet in Tucson last Thursday
I was just starting to bring a chunk of 1080 up to welding temp when the whole left side of my propane forge cracked open, and now I'm stuck using a torch and firebricks while I wait for the new refractory cement to show up - has anyone else had a forge shell just give up like that?

Guess I should be grateful my forge didn't decide to explode instead of just cracking open (that would have made for a bad Tuesday). Hope your new refractory arrives faster than mine did, mine took forever.
