Unpopular take on The Office - it actually gets worse after Michael leaves

I keep seeing people say the later seasons of The Office are still great and worth watching. But I just rewatched the whole series last month and honestly season 7 onward drags so bad. The whole Robert California character felt forced and the Andy as manager thing never clicked for me. Anyone else think the show should have wrapped up when Steve Carell left?

Robert California was less a character and more like someone's weird uncle who showed up to a job interview and somehow got hired. Andy as manager felt like watching a golden retriever try to do taxes, cute but ultimately a mess. The show went from a mockumentary about a paper company to a soap opera about who's dating who in the warehouse. By season 8 I was just waiting for the end credits like they were a mercy killing. The whole Florida arc with Dwight and the Sabre printer was just painful filler. Sometimes you just gotta let a show die with dignity instead of dragging its corpse through three more seasons.

Wait, didn't the Florida arc give us some of the best Dwight moments though? I feel like season 8 still had plenty of laughs even if the tone shifted a bit.
