That one comment about my episode order ruined my rewatch habit

I used to watch every show in release order, no exceptions. A buddy from work pointed out that for some series, like The Expanse, watching chronological order makes the first season way more confusing than it needs to be. Tried his way with a rewatch last month and it clicked, the payoff in season 2 finally landed for me. Now I check fan guides before starting anything over 3 seasons, has anyone else flipped their viewing order based on one random opinion?

Oh man, that's exactly what happened to me with The Witcher. One quick look at the timeline and I never went back to release order.
