My sister keeps calling 'Severance' a slow burn and I think she's missing the entire point
She said she gave up after two episodes because 'nothing happened yet,' but the whole first season is about the eerie, deliberate pace of the office and the horror of not knowing. I told her the tension IS the show, not a flaw you have to wait through. Does anyone else get annoyed when people bail on a show before it even establishes its own vibe?

Ugh, that's the worst. I just tell people to watch the whole first three episodes before they decide. If they still don't like it, fine, but at least they gave it a real shot.

Totally agree with you @samward, that three episode rule is a lifesaver! I had a friend who almost quit on my favorite show after the first slow episode, but I begged them to stick it out. By the end of episode three, they were completely hooked and ended up binging the whole season in a weekend. It's crazy how some shows just need a little time to find their footing. Giving it that full chance makes all the difference.
