My husband clicked on a phishing link and I had to binge 6 episodes of Homeland just to calm down
I was folding laundry in the living room when he casually said 'I think that email from Netflix wasn't real' and by the time I finished resetting all our passwords and checking every account, I was so wired I ended up watching the whole first season of The Bear in one night, has anyone else used a show to recover from a tech disaster?

My husband once opened an email attachment that looked like it came from our bank and I spent the next two hours on hold with customer service while pacing around the kitchen. By the time I hung up, I was so keyed up I watched the entirety of The Office from season 5 onward just to feel normal again. There's something about watching other people make bad decisions in a completely safe way that balances out the real panic. I still get a little twitchy when I see a customer service number but at least I have Dwight Schrute to blame for my entire night being gone.

Are you me? I had the same thing happen with a fake Amazon order confirmation and ended up stuck on the phone for an hour and a half. I was so wound up after that I rewatched the whole first season of Arrested Development just to get my brain to stop spiraling. There's nothing like watching someone else's trainwreck of a day to make you feel like your own problems aren't that bad. At least now I triple check every email before I click anything, even if it takes me forever.

Feels like a pretty big reaction to a wrong click.
