Finally binged The Americans in 4 days flat
My spouse was out of town for work last Tuesday through Saturday, so I figured why not finally tackle that show everyone's been raving about. Ended up watching 5 seasons in 72 hours straight and now I'm emotionally wrecked with nobody to talk to about it. Has anyone else gone on a solo binge that left you completely drained for days?

Binge watching a show like that is the opposite of enjoyable to me. You're basically speedrunning a story that was meant to be savored over months, you know? The whole point of The Americans is the slow burn tension and the little character moments, not the plot twists. Cramming it all in four days just turns it into a blur of spy stuff and bad wigs. I took six weeks to watch it and still felt drained because of how heavy it gets, but at least I had time to process each episode. Rushing through it like that feels more like a chore than entertainment, honestly. But hey, different strokes for different folks.
