Felt like I was watching a different show once I switched to subtitles on The Wire
I put off The Wire for years because everyone told me the first season was slow, and I quit twice by episode 3. About two months ago my roommate in Austin put it on with subs and I caught stuff I never heard before, like whole lines in the corner scenes that were total mumbles. Made it through all 5 seasons in 6 weeks, which is a lot for me since I usually tap out after 2 episodes of anything. Now I'm wondering how many good shows I dumped just because I was half listening while scrolling. Anyone got a show that only clicked for them once they turned subtitles on?
