After we finished that family drama series, I saw my brother differently.
We spent all Sunday watching this show where two brothers constantly butt heads. It dawned on me that my own fights with my brother are just us figuring things out, not real anger. What shows have made you see your family differently?

Yeah the soundtrack thing is so true lol. I feel like we all end up putting our own family stuff in those tv drama boxes to make sense of it.

Watching those rich family dramas always makes my own clan seem tame by comparison, honestly. Had that moment with "Succession" where I realized our weird Thanksgiving arguments need a dramatic soundtrack. My dad's passive aggressive comments about the turkey would actually play pretty well over tense piano music.
