The customer who asked me to 'hold the garlic' on our garlic fries
Had a lady come through the drive thru last week at the restaurant in Portland and order a double bacon cheeseburger with extra garlic aioli but then asked me to hold the garlic on the garlic fries. I told her the garlic fries come pre-seasoned with garlic powder and salt, can't really pick it out. She got super mad and said 'just wipe it off then.' Like ma'am, I'm a line cook not a magician. I ended up just making her plain fries and she complained to the manager anyway. Has anyone else dealt with customers who think menu items work like build-a-bear?

Pre seasoned garlic fries and they think wiping it off works? Man I've had people ask me to wash the seasoning off their chips before. Like I'm going to stand there and run cold water over a basket of fries for you. Plain fries is the only real option here and even then they complain. Next time just tell them corporate policy says you have to charge for the garlic fries anyway so they can have em plain or not at all.
