That $8 ice scraper that finally saved my windshield in Minneapolis

I work the drive thru at a coffee stand here, and last January I kept using a credit card to scrape frost because I was too cheap to buy a real scraper. After three mornings of my fingers going numb and cracking ice off with a spatula I stole from the break room, I caved and got one of those long handle scrapers with the brush attached. Cost me about $8 at the gas station, and it cut my pre-shift routine from 15 minutes to maybe 2. Now I keep a spare in my car for anyone on my crew who forgets theirs. Has anyone else found a small work tool that made a huge difference for their commute or job?
