Just realized the new manager at my store actually fixed the schedule mess
For like a year, our weekly schedule was a total joke, always posted late and full of mistakes. The new manager, Sarah, started in January and said she'd fix it. She posted the schedule for next week yesterday, a full 5 days early, and it's perfect. Has anyone else had a manager actually follow through on a promise like that?

My old gym had a broken water fountain for 8 months. They put up a "coming soon" sign for a new one. It showed up 2 days later. Like @mia592 said, we're so used to empty promises that actual follow-through feels like a magic trick. It makes you wonder how much gets left broken just because no one does the simple thing they said they would.

Wow, that's so rare... it feels like most people just talk about fixing things. Like my apartment super always says he'll fix the dripping sink, or a friend promises to plan a get-together. They mean it in the moment, but nothing changes. When someone actually does the thing they said they'd do, it's almost shocking. It really makes you see how low the bar is for just being reliable.
